FINISHED PROJECTS

DORIS

(INTERIOR PHOTOS COMING SOON)

Doris was a labour of love, and she belongs to one our very own builders on the team. Meant to capture and share his love for shepherd huts, he built one on the back of a Ford Transit chassis cab! There are still additional systems to be installed, such as solar panels and a gas shower, however for now it runs off of the most basic systems possible as it's currently being used for weekend trips. This two-bed camper really feels like home away from home:

- Small leisure battery for small onboard fridge, radio system and a 12v bedside fan (for those humid summer evenings)

- Solar and battery powered lamps

- Small kitchen set up with cute butler sink, hand pump tap and a gas ring hob.

- Little porta-loo, however this will be replaced with a composting toilet.

- Clever and space saving storage system with lovely salvaged boxes and a wardrobe clad in old aged pine

- In-built sound system with internal speakers

- Two beds: one above the cab with a port-hole window, another slots in from the seating system

ROUNDHILL PICTURE PALACE

The Picture Palace came from a dream to do something a little bit remarkable. To create a traditional cinema, with real (not modern replica) traditional furnishings, on wheels! The wonderful seats came from an old cinema in Dorset. There was much creative collaboration, from the build down to the interior design; we bought a 19th Century Italian head from a friend, Julie Mangan, who molded the face to make several others, a lot of gilt work was involved here! Art Deco lights and stained glass windows added to the effect as did some reclaimed doors and cupboards.

The cinema/theatre has up to 14 seats, all staggered in height and with plenty of leg room. It is truly one of the smallest travelling picture houses in the World.

Our “Picture Palace” is a beautiful little space that transports you to another era, and for a few hours, the outside world ceases to exist!
